How It All Started

Married at 20 and divorced at 47, Kyle Partain had to re-enter the dating world as a half-deaf, overweight, balding, middle-aged man during a global pandemic. At that point, he’d been a husband for more than half of his life.

Cast out of the family home, he turned to the healing power of comedy. At first, that was just binge-watching The Office every spare moment. Eventually, it led him to Denver’s The Bug Theatre, where he was pushed on stage against his will and forced to confront his greatest fear in life:
public speaking.

Two years after that fateful night, standing in the spotlight is still his greatest fear and yet at the same time his strongest motivation in life.
